Dare I critique the work of somone who's work I admire so much? Oh well, since you asked
This is a beautiful piece, I enjoy the mystery added by just being able to see her lips and nose without seeing her eyes. I feel that the depth of field also adds a lot to this photo and in fact, the slightly diagonal line created by the DOF and her pose adds a dynamic to the image that wouldn’t have been there had she just been sitting up straight. The pose is very natural looking ( if it even is a pose for that matter). She appears to just be sitting in the beautiful window light thinking about something only she knows.
If I have one complaint (for lack of a better word, it’s actually more of an annoyance), it is, the bright spot on her left shoulder. While, it’s beautiful light, my eye gets drawn to it and as a consequence it distracts from the overall image to my eye. Not sure what you could have done other than tone it down a bit in processing, but, it’s a minor issue of which you “the artist” get’s to decide to do or not, and clearly you chose not to.

Well done Andrew.
